Paralakhemundi: The viscera report of Santosh Patra alias Tulu, brother of Parala palace manager Ananga Manjari Patra, said he died because of anti-depressant drug overdose, said MKCG Hospital Forensic Lab chief Prof Sachidananda Mohanty.

Talking to media persons Mohanty said, “Yesterday we got the report according to which Tulu died because of Choloro Dieopoxide and Amitriptyline overdose.”

Notably, Ananga Manjari and her two relatives were found dead at a house on the premises of the Parala palace last month while another brother Tulu was recovered in a critical condition and admitted to the MKCG hospital for treatment. But he died later.

Meanwhile, family members of Ananga Manjari have demanded action against the persons whose names were mentioned in the suicide note found at the house where the bodies were recovered.

Purnima Patra, Ananga’s sister, said, “We want immediate action against persons who caused my sister and brother to commit suicide. Besides, action should be taken against a news channel for defaming the deceased by telecasting wrong information even though the Crime Branch had given them a clean chit and said they have not grabbed the king’s properties.”

Commenting on the matter Upendra Nayak, senior advocate, said, “Names in the suicide note can be important evidence against the concerned persons.”

On the other hand, employees of the Parala palace have not been getting their payment since the shifting of the king to Chennai for treatment and death of Ananga Manjari.

Sanotsh Kumar Gantayat, a priest at the Manikeshwari temple located on the premises of the palace, said, “We have not got payment for three months after the king went to Chennai for treatment. We hope we will get our due after his return.”
