Cuttack: A day after Congress MLA from Paralakhemundi K Surya Rao and two others were quizzed, three more political leaders of Gajapati district appeared before the Crime Branch probe team here at the State police headquarters today for interrogation in connection with the mysterious death of Parala King’s former manager Anang Manjari and her three siblings.

Those who appeared before the investigating team are Gajapati district president of BJP G Ravana, Parala city president of Congress Basant Panda and former BJD councillor Babuli Behera.

The probe agency had served notices to nine persons for interrogation in connection with the much hyped quadruple suicide case.

Paralakhemundi legislator K Surya Rao, former Gajapati district BJD president Basant Das and Manoranjan Badaghar had appeared before the Crime Branch yesterday. Similarly, Paralakhemundi Municipality councillor Bibhuti Nayak and local Congress leader Sudhi Ranjan Mahapatra had appeared before the agency on Monday.

Rao, who pleaded innocence in the case, had said yesterday that he had fully cooperated with the team of inquiry.
