Papu Pom Pom's wife requests not to spread his death rumours

May 15: Actor-comedian Papu Pom Pom's wife Sangeeta Satapathy today demanded to curb the rumours being spread about the health condition of her husband and informed that his condition is stable.

He is undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU) of Gastrology department at AIIMS, New Delhi and is being treated by a team of nearly 10 doctors, she stated.

Talking to OTV, Sangeeta said, "He is presently in the ICU and will return home after being cured. I request people to stop spreading rumours about his health and pray for him before Lord Jagannath."

The actor, who is suffering from pancreatic disease, was shifted to New Delhi AIIMS on Tuesday after nearly three days of treatment in the ICU of a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.

While the State Government is in close contact with AIIMS authorities and the Health Minister has reportedly taken stock of his condition, several actors and colleagues of Papu have been able to raise Rs 5 lakh from donations for his treatment.
