Papu, aide move HC for bail

Cuttack: Ollywood comedian Tatwa Prakash Satpathy alias Papu Pom Pom and his aide Pradipta Swain alias Gitu today filed a bail petition in the Orissa High Court.

The duo applied for bail after the district and sessions court in Bhubaneswar rejected their bail petition.

Papu Pom Pom and Gitu have been arrested on the charge of sexually abusing a minor girl.

The commissionerate police had arrested Papu and Swain from an apartment in Puri on June 30 and produced them before the residential court of the Khurda District and Sessions Judge.

The court had rejected their bail petitions after which they were lodged in the Jharpada Special Jail here.
