Bhubaneswar: As registrations for the Joint Entrance Examination (Mains) closed on Monday, as many as 44,488 candidates from Odisha applied for the same. The figures, however, do not show any increase in the number of students showing interest in the exams as compared to the previous years that had 44,480 students registering for the exam.

The students who applied on the last day (January 1) can pay the fee by challan today.

The examination is scheduled to be held on April 8, 2018, for offline format. The on-line examination is scheduled to be held on April 15 and 16, 2018.

Last year, 44,480 students from the State had registered for the entrance test, OJEE chairman Tushar Kumar Nath said.
