Over 100 houses gutted in two fire mishaps in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Over 80 houses of nearly 40 families were gutted in a fire that broke out on Tuesday in Badabandha village of Athamallick block in Angul district.

Soon after receiving information, senior officials of district administration including BDO and Tehsildar rushed to the spot while it took almost an hour for the fire personnel to douse the flames.

Official sources said, soon an assessment would be made to ascertain the loss of property in the fire mishap while efforts are on to provide assistance to the affected families.

In another incident, 40 houses were also reduced to ashes in Manjari village in Nayagarh
