OTV Impact: Medicine shops in Puri raided for selling expired drugs

Puri: Days after OTV reported about the alleged sale of expired drugs by medicine shops in Puri district, two teams of Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation raided several such shops today.

Two teams headed by additional drug controllers, Har Mohan Mohanty and Sunil Kumar Nayak raided the shops at Hospital Chhak and Market Chhak areas in Puri.

As per reports, the teams inspected all the medicines which are being sold and have also collected some samples.

Earlier, OTV had telecasted a report showing how the manufacturing & expiry dates were being erased by shopkeepers, following which seven medicine stores at Hospital Chhak were raided by the drug inspector.
