Bhubaneswar: The controversy surrounding 'Political Nabakalebara’ got murkier today with Union Minister Jual Oram and BJD Rajya Sabha member Pratap Deb indulging in a war of words on possible upheaval in State politics.

While Oram claimed political equation in the State will change soon, Deb took a jibe on the Union Minister and said first he should tell people what the Narendra Modi government at the Centre has done in past three years.

Oram stated, “Political Nabakalebara will definitely take place in the State. People are changing their minds and want to give a chance to the saffron party.”

When asked in which place the political upheaval will begin, Oram said, “The change in equations can happen either in Puri or Sundergarh.”

In his comments, Deb said, “The saffron party has nurtured an inflated political ego. Is Oram considering himself god as he is taking about Nabakalebara?”

When asked about Oram’s remarks on marathon visit of CM Naveen Patnaik to different parts of the State, Deb said, “The Union Minister should tell first why Prime Minister Narendra Modi is flying to Gujarat thrice in a month.”

On Friday, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had said people of the State have made up their minds to see a ‘Nabakalebar’ of the government by throwing the incapable, inefficient and corrupt Naveen government into Bay of Bengal. He had also stated that Puri will be the epicentre of that ‘Nabakalebar’.
