Bhubaneswar: Disciplinary Committee chairperson of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) Sandhya Mohapatra today issued show-cause notices to sent show cause notices to three Congress leaders.

The notices were sent to legislators Tara Prasad Bahinipati, Prafulla Majhi and Ananta Sethi asking them that why action should not be taken against them for speaking against OPCC chief Prasad Harichandan and Odisha in-charge BK Hariprasad.

"If some one has to be removed from the party then it is the All India Congress Committee (AICC) which will take the call. Individuals making statements or coverage in media will not get one removed from the party. It creates unnecessary disturbances in the party for which we have sent show-cause notices," said Sandhya Mohapatra.

Talking to media persons on the notice, Bahinipati said, "I have not done any indiscipline but have spoken the truth. I have never done anything against the party and will never do it." He even added, "I do not know the head of the disciplinary committee, I have not received any notice and she has not even called me, I will answer only after receiving the notice and going through the points."

MLA Majhi also said, "Not against the party but spoke for well being of the party, taking my words in other context can be dangerous for the party." He said of not knowing the intention of the party behind the notice. "Will reply after getting the notice," he added.

"I am yet to get any notice in this regard. If the letter has been sent by AICC then let me receive it then I will comment. The disciplinary committee has no right to send any notice to me," said Sethi.
