One more succumbs to H1N1 virus; death toll reaches 24

Bhubaneswar: One more person succumbed to Swine Flu today taking the total death toll due to the disease to 24 in the State.

The deceased, a resident of Jajpur, died while undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.On Thursday, an affected person died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar, while another died after being discharged from a private hospital in Cuttack.

As many as 43 swab samples were sent on Friday for examination out of which 12 tested positive for the H1N1 virus, said official sources, adding that 259 people have been tested positive for the vector borne disease in the State so far.
