One dead, four critical as gas cylinder blasts at Jajpur JSL plant

Jajpur: One dies and four critically injured after a gas cylinder exploded at the Steel Melting Shop (SMS) unit of Jindal Stainless Ltd (JSL) plant here today.

The deceased has been identified as Jaladhara Pati of Ampora village under Tamaka police limits in Jajpur district. The other four injured were admitted to Aswini hospital in Jajpur.

However, two injured were later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as their condition deteriorated.

The reason of the blast remains unknown. Jakhpura police is investigating on the incident.
