Khurdha: Hours after three bike borne miscreants looted Rs 6 lakh cash from a stamp vendor of Jatani sub-registrar office, police arrested one of them from Kalinga Nagar area on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar and recovered Rs 3.5 lakh of the looted cash from his possession today.

The miscreants looted the money from Benudhar Nayak after attacking him with a sharp weapon at Chachera Bauri sahi on the Khurda-Jatani road.

The critically injured stamp vendor has been admitted to Khurda district headquarters hospital. The looters intercepted him at Baurisahi and attacked him. After injuring Nayak, they snatched the cash bag and fled the spot.

They (miscreants) way laid me when I was on my way to the bank. Suddennly, two of them got down from a bike and hacked my hand. They snatched my bike key and money bag when I fell down on grond", injured Nayak said at the hospital.
