Bhubaneswar: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) on Thursday partnered with cab service providers Ola and Uber to provide commuting facilities for passengers at selected aerodromes including Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar.

As part of the strategic alliance, passengers will be able to avail cab services of both Ola and Uber at Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Lucknow and Bhubaneswar airports, an AAI release said on Wednesday.

AAI Chairman Guruprasad Mohapatra said the move will ensure hassle-free and better commuting services to air travellers.

Kiosks will be set up at dedicated pick-up zones outside the airports so as to bring down the estimated time of arrival to as low as two minutes. The kiosks will be managed by company representatives and will be especially beneficial for fliers who don’t have the apps in their smartphones to book a cab. Passengers will not have to wait long for the cabs as they can immediately book at the airports itself.
