Oh that stinking feeling! Dead rats in building affect OHRC functioning

Bhubaneswar: It was a bizarre sight at the Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) building with officials, staff and other applicants having tough time dealing with bad odor on the office premises.

Sources said, dead rats within the office building are the reason behind such foul smell which is making life unbearable for the staff and other officials. As a result, a scheduled hearing at the commission’s court room had to be shifted to another venue inside the complex on today.

It is alleged that for the past fifteen days the pungent smell has been creating inconvenience.

“It is very hard to put up with the smell and even though officials are facing the problem, they are forced to work,” said a complainant.
