Odisha woman running beauty parlour in Surat commits 'suicide'

Surat/Bhubaneswar: A woman from Ganjam district of Odisha allegedly committed suicide today in Surat, Gujarat.

The deceased has been identified as Rinku Patra, who was running a beauty parlour in Surat.

The reason behind her death is yet to be ascertained.

Colleagues of the deceased informed that after Rinku didn't respond to calls regarding some urgent work, they went to her house. After they reached her house, they found Rinku's body hanging from the ceiling fan.

Sources informed that family members of the Rinku were back in Odisha when the incident occurred.

On receiving information, police reached the spot and launched an investigation. Meanwhile, Rinku's body has been sent for post mortem, informed sources.
