Bengaluru/ Bhubaneswar: In an attempt to encourage investments in sectors like Manufacturing, IT, Electronics, Petrochemicals, Food Processing, and Tourism, the Odisha government is organising a two-day investors’ meet in Bengaluru beginning from today.

As part of its year-long celebrations to mark 80 years of the state and the birth centenary of former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik, the state government has set up a camp at the investors’ meet which witnessed investors from engineering, IT, aviation, soft drinks, transportation, telecom and defense sector.

According to sources, the ministers for Revenue, Industries and IT of Odisha, along with senior government officials, will meet over 40 companies and investors today and will hold discussion on various investment plans.

“We will meet some businessmen during the meet. On August 26, CM Naveen Patanik will meet the captains of the industry. We have also invited around 300 to 500 interested investors in related sectors with whom we will also have a one-on-one discussions the same day,” informed Industries minister Debi Prasad Mishra.

“Every State is trying to attract investment and FDI. Let them do it. I wish Odisha all the success in this endeavor,” said Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaih.
