Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government is all set to auction six mines including four iron-ore in October, Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi informed on Thursday.

The proposed mineral blocks to be auctioned next month also includes a graphite and a limestone mine, informed Padhi after a high level meeting of State Level Facilitation Committee today.

Padhi further stated that already six mines have been auctioned and steps are being taken by the government to ensure that the problems related to clearances are resolved at the earliest.

At the review meeting of the State Level Facilitation Committee, Padhi also instructed concerned agencies to expedite the process of clearances including forest and environment, land acquisition and land alienation.

“It is the responsibility of the State Government to ensure that mines do not face operational problems and get all the necessary clearances,” Padhi added.
