Odisha skipper Govind Poddar in India Red squad for Deodhar Trophy

Cuttack: Odisha Cricket team Captain, Govind Poddar has booked a berth in the India Red team announced for the Deodhar Trophy. The India Red team, along with India Blue and Vijay Hazare Trophy winners Tamilnadu will battle it out for the Deodhar Trophy scheduled to begin from March 25.

Govind Poddar, a Rourkela resident, scored 471 runs in 9 matches in the current Ranji Trophy season which included a century and 2 half centuries. Moreover, he also claimed 10 wickets with his off spinners.

Similarly, in the recently concluded Vijay Hazare trophy, Poddar scored 359 runs in 6 matches with 2 centuries and 2 half centuries.
