Bhubaneswar: Odisha has a wide scope to develop in tourism and textile sectors making it necessary for the State government to emphasise in the two areas, said Chief Economic Advisor to the Centre Arvind Subramanian today.

Subramanian, who was in Bhubaneswar to attend a conclave on ‘Economic Survey Outreach’ organised by the Xavier Institute of Management, compared the gross domestic product (GDP) of India with the GDP of other countries and forecast the country’s position.

Among others, Xavier Institute Director Dr Paul and OTV Network Co-founder Jagi Mangat Panda were present in the conference.
