Bhubaneswar: Rich tributes were paid to three-time Chief Minister of the state and former Governor of Assam Janaki Ballabh Patnaik on his first death anniversary today.

A number of programs have been organised today across the state to mark the occasion.

According to sources, a park and a 10-foot high statue of the former Chief Minister will be unveiled by Janaki Ballabh Patnaik Memorial Committee at Khurda in the evening today.

The statue unveiling programme will be attended by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Union Petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the sources added.
