Bhubaneswar: Higher Education Minister Ananta Das on Thursday chaired a meeting to review the situation of higher education in State and plan out strategies to provide quality education to students of Odisha.

Vice Chancellors of various universities, examination controllers and the staff who prepare syllabus attended the meeting and gave their suggestions on revision in syllabus, appointment of faculty, infrastructural development and transformation in educational system.

As per reports, five committees were formed to provide report on the steps to be taken within two months. Four out of the five committees will be headed by four Vice Chancellors.

Emphasis will be given on the measures that can be implemented to help students excel on national and international level.

"It is said that quality of higher education is good in Delhi, not only in Delhi but students of various foreign universities are creating world records. It is not that our students are not creating records but we are trying that they will perform better," said Das.
