New Delhi: The time has come for renaissance of Odisha in a variety of spheres, said Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda during the second edition of ‘Odisha Parba’ - a 3-day annual event held in New Delhi to celebrate the culture, tradition and pay tributes to the glorious past of the state.

While addressing the gathering on the second day of the event organised at India Gate Lawns, Panda said, “The ‘Paika Bidroha’ was a revolt against injustice and exploitation. The time has come once again to rise against injustice and exploitation which are now prevalent.”

Among others, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and BJP MP Manoj Tiwari were present at the three-day event which began yesterday.

Padma Shri recipients Mayadhara Rout and Haladhara Nag, Odia cine actors Mahasweta Ray, Aparajita Mohanty and Mihir Das were felicitated at the function.
