Odisha Jana Morcha merges with Samata Kranti party

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Jana Morcha (OJM), which was founded by former Rajya Sabha member late Pyarimohan Mohapatra, has merged with Samata Kranti party headed by former Union Minister and MP Braja Kishore Tripathy.

An announcement in this regard was made by both the parties at a press meet in Bhubaneswar today.

OJM president Jagneswar Babu said, late Pyarimohan Mohapatra had always pressed for the need of a strong alliance at the regional level. The decision was taken unanimously to fulfl his dreams.

"Samata Kranti party has been working for the betterment of labourers, farmers and unemployed youths. Hence, the OJM decided to merge with the party," he added.

Tripathy said since OJM is also concerned about the interest of the people of the State, it would definitely cooperate with Samata Kranti in the days to come.

"We did not give any prior information about the alliance as Samata Kranti party does not believe in publicity but in actual work," he added.
