Bhubaneswar: The annual state Plus II examination conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) will begin from March 6, 2018 and will conclude on March 29, the board announced today.
The theory examinations of Science and Commerce streams will begin first while exams of Arts stream will commence a day later. On the first day, Science and Commerce stream students will appear for the English subject. The examinations will begin from 10 am till 1 pm, a notification issued by CHSE said.
Regular students will appear the examinations according to the new syllabus prepared in line with the pattern followed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). While the Ex-Regular students will appear the test as per their old syllabus, Deputy Examination Controller, Prabodh Kumar Panda said.
The theory examination for integrated vocational subjects will start from March 21 and end on March 29. The vocational theory examinations will be of 2 hours each while the timing for vocational practical subjects will be of 3 hours duration.
The board in its notification has further stated that examinations both sections of Biology (Botany and Zoology) will be carried out in a single sitting.
The practical examinations will be held before the theory papers and will begin from January 25 till February 5.
