New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: On completion of three years of the Narendra Modi-led government, the Odisha BJP has decided to shift its focus on rural areas to strengthen its position in the state.

Eleven party leaders from the state including spokesperson Golak Mohapatra, Pradeep Purohit, Pratap Sarangi and others on Sunday attended a meeting chaired by Amit Shah in Delhi.

It was decided at the meeting that around 20000 party activists would take out rallies to highlight major achievements of the Modi government.

During the rallies, the activists would sensitise the villagers about various welfare programmes implemented in Odisha in the last three years of the Modi government.

The activists would visit every village and booth to highlight various pro-poor programmes of the Centre and how the state has been benefited during the last three years of its governance.

A total of 192 party leaders from across the country had attended the national media workshop.
