Bhubaneswar: A delegation of Odisha BJP met the Chairman, Standing Committee of Parliament on Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Hukmdev Narayan Yadav today and submitted a memorandum to him over various farmer issues in the State.

A team led by State BJP Vice-President Samir Mohanty met Yadav, BJP MP from Madhubani constituency of Bihar, who is on a visit to Odisha.

"It is during this unfortunate situation we met him and discussed with him about the current loan system in Odisha and submitted a memorandum to him. He will definitely, if it comes under the purview of his authority, send the Lok Sabha committee report to the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare," said Mohanty.

Yadav said that he will review the issues raised by the delegation and discuss it with Centre.

"I will look into the matter through my office. If the issue comes within the purview of our committee than we will take it up on our level and call the concerned officials of State and Centre for a discussion," said Yadav.
