New Delhi: Odia IPS offier Amulya Patnaik is being tipped as the next police commissioner of New Delhi. Patnaik, a UP-cadre IPS, is currently the special commissioner of New Delhi.

Senior IPS officers Deepak Mishra and Dharmendra Kumar are also in the race to be chosen as the commissioner of the national capital.

The commissioner post is now vacant after Alok Verma was appointed as the CBI chief few days ago.
