Balasore: Odia girl Krishita Mohapatra who recently won the pageant of Junior Model International-India has her eyes set on winning more beauty pageants for India in coming days. Her achievement at such a young age has catapulted her parents to cloud nine.

"I am very happy for her success. I would like to urge all the parents in Odisha to let children follow their dreams," said Krishita's mother Sanjukta Sahu.

Four girls from Odisha, including 12-year-old had participated in the Junior Model International 2018 beauty pageant recently held at Calicut in Kerala.

Krishita won the hearts of judges and audience in all the rounds and was finally crowned the champion.

Hailing from Balasore, the achiever has been participating in the Pageant for the last two years.”Krishita trained herself in dancing and fashion modelling by watching YouTube videos. I am so glad that she has been finally rewarded for all her hard work and determination,” Sanjukta said.

A student of Class VI in St. Vincent's Convent School, Balasore, Krishita had started showing an interest for modeling from her Pre-Nursery days. During all these years, she was successful in winning accolades while participating in different fashion shows, modeling, dance and song programmes.

While Krishita has been nominated for Junior Model International-World Finals, she has also been nominated for the World Tourism Festival for Beauty Friendship and Fashion scheduled to be held in Philippines this August. While her parents are hopeful that she will make the nation proud by participating in the event Krishita aims at winning the Miss World beauty pageant in future.

"I was glad to win the event by overtaking so many contestants and making Odisha proud. Since I am going to represent India, I will now learn a new dance to display Indian Culture for the talent round," said Krishita.
