Odia youth among 14 killed in Kamala Mills fire

Bhubaneswar: An Odia youth is among the 14 persons killed in the Kamala Mills fire incident that occurred late last night in Mumbai.

The deceased youth has been identified as Sarbajit Parida of Badapatapur village under Oupada block in Balasore district.

Sarbajit was working with Mojo restaurant located on the roof-top of the building which caught fire.

Sarbajit’s name was found in the list of decesaed published by the KEM hospital.

A total 14 people were killed and as many injured after a major fire in a building in Kamala Mills Compound in Lower Parel.

The fire broke out shortly after midnight on the third floor of the four-storeyed building on Senapati Bapat Marg, a commercial hub of the city, said sources.

The injured were taken to the KEM and Sion hospitals.

According to the official, the cause of the fire remains to be ascertained.
