Notorious robber nabbed in Cuttack

Cuttack: The Commissionerate Police has arrested notorious robber Hemant Das, who has more than 100 robbery and theft cases pending against him.

As per police sources, Hemant has confessed to his involvement in several loot cases over the past 30 years.

Cuttack DCP Akhileswar Singh informed that Hemant not only targeted houses but also people staying at different hotels during their visit to the city.

Police nabbed him in connection with robberies at three places in Gopalpur area, the complaints for which were filed at Cuttack Sadar Police Station on May 3.

Besides, on charges of buying stolen items from Hemant, the Commissionerate Police has also arrested three other persons from the Cuttack Sadar area.
