Notorious criminal injured in police encounter

Bhubaneswar: Notorious criminal A. Siba was injured in an encounter with Special Squad of Commissionerate police here on Wednesday night.

Acting on a tip off, the squad had cornered Siba near Jayadev Vatika. Siba had fired six rounds at them, in a bid to escape, and the security officials also retaliated in which he sustained injuries.

One pistol and three rounds of live bullets were seized from Siba's possession. There are various cases lodged against him at different police stations.
