Bhubaneswar: Norwegian Ambassador to India Nils Ragnar Kamsvag met Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik at the state secretariat here on Wednesday and discussed on various issues pertaining to the economic and health ties between the two governments.

“We are looking into potential for closer economic ties between Norway and Odisha. We also discussed, a bit, the health cooperation we have between us. So, we look forward to seeing if we’re also going to get some Norwegian companies interested in investing in the State,” said Kamsvag while briefing media persons.

Both Norway and Odisha also discussed on cultural exchanges and joint efforts to further enhance the economic relations. The Scandinavian country also ensured the state of every possible effort to boost health ties.

Meanwhile, on his two-day Odisha tour, Kamsvag attended several events held in the Capital city and inaugurated a comprehensive skill lab in the MCH premises of Capital Hospital along with a family care centre at the special newborn care unit (SNCU). He also visited the College of Nursing, in Berhampur, where he inaugurated a Training Camp.
