Bhubaneswar: Ending a five-day impasse, normalcy returned to the evaluation process of annual Plus II examination on Sunday after the agitating teachers of 488 and 662 category non-government and aided colleges decided to put their agitation on hold and join the evaluation today.

Talking to OTV, Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) chairman Basudev Chatoi said, “There is no need to for an alternate arrangement for the evaluation process as the striking teachers have decided to put their stir on hold and agreed to join the evaluation process.”

“The evaluation process is going on and the results will be declared in time,” Chatoi added.

“There will be no break in between the first phase and second phase of the evaluation process,” he informed.

Notably, the teachers’ associations yesterday decided to join the evaluation process after a closed-door meeting with Higher Education minister Pradip Panigrahi and Energy minister Pranab Prakash Das.

The joint teachers’ associations had boycotted the annual Plus Two evaluation since April 4 protesting the non-fulfillment of their demands.
