Normalcy hit in Soro due to 12-hr bandh

Balasore: Normal life in Soro in the district is affected as Congress is observing a dawn-to-dusk bandh in the town over poor health services at the Community Health Centre (CHC).

Residents of Soro are facing difficulties to purchase essential items due to the closure of shops whereas commuters are having a harrowing time because of disruption in vehicular traffic.

The bandh is being led by Congress block president Saroj Kumar Mohapatra and Town President Bankesh Kumar Behera in the town.

The Congress leaders alleged though 10 posts have been sanctioned for the Soro CHC, currently only three doctors are on duty at the hospital.

The party demanded immediately the vacant peadiatrician post should be filled up for the larger benefit.
