Cuttack/Rourkela: Balaram Champatiray, Chief Security Officer (CSO) of National Institute of Technology (NIT), who is evading arrest following his complicity in the sexual torture of lady security guards of the institute, today moved the Odisha High Court seeking anticipatory bail.

Champatiray has remained absconded after the NIT fact-finding team constituted by the director of the institute, in course of its investigation, found that the allegations made by the lady security guards were true.

Meanwhile, the fact-finding team today submitted its report to the Standing Committee. In the 15-page report has the statement of 26 witnesses.

NIT Director Dr Sunil Sarangi has sent the report to the Internal Complaint Committee against Sexual Harassment for action against the absconding CSO, sources said.
