Bhubaneswar: Nandankanan Zoological Park on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar is all set to get a pair of Nilgiri Langurs, which is expected to become a major attraction and boost visitor footfall.

Official sources said the Nilgiri Langurs would be brought to Nandankanan as part of an animal exchange programme with Arignar Anna Zoological Park, Chennai.

Apart from Nilgiri Langur, four white Peafowls, 10 Painted Storks and four Reticulated Pythons will be brought to Nandankan from Chennai Zoo in exchange for 19 animals.

Nandankanan Zoo authorities have agreed to part with two Himalayan Black Bears, one Siamese Crocodile, two Water Monitor Lizards, 10 White Ibis and four Open Bill Storks as per the approval of the Central Zoo Authority, New Delhi.

Sources informed that a team of Nandankanan Zoo has left for Arignar Anna Zoological Park, Chennai to exchange the animals.
