Niladri Bije fiasco: One more sevayat arrested

Puri: Police today arrested Kasinath Khuntia, a senior servitor of Shri Jagannath Temple on the charge of assaulting media persons and delay in the rituals of the Lords during Niladri Bije in June this year.

Reports said the Simhadwara Police arrested Khuntia following a tip-off about his presence in the pilgrim town.

Notably, Khuntia was among the eight sevayats of the temple who had absconded after the Niladri Bije incident.

Police had declared these eight sevayats as absconders after it failed to trace them out.
