Puri: In the wake of the unsavoury incident that had taken place during the Niladri Bije of the deities in which some servitors had misbehaved the Puri collector, the Town Police today arrested one more servitor.
The arrested has been identified as Sanjay Khuntia of Bimanabadu Sahi in the town.
With this, police has so far arrested eight servitors in this connection.
Meanwhile, police is on the lookout for seven other servitors including the prime accused Damodar Mahasuara and his brother Jayakrushna Mahasuara. Police has sought permission from the local court to issue search warrant order against the absconding servitors.
On the other hand, the Shri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has served show cause notice on nine suspended servitors and asked them to reply within 15 days.
