Cuttack: The killing spree by the mysterious animal continues with the death of 14 more sheep in an attack late on Tuesday night in Niali.

The killing of sheep that had stopped for nearly three months, started again on October 19 with the death of three sheep and now 14 from different places in Niali area.

As per reports, the wild animal killed 10 and four sheep in Nua Babajar and Adaspur area respectively.

The killing of the sheep has left the people in the region in a state of shock and panic. Fear has gripped people after the fresh sheep deaths.

The mysterious animal had killed over 250 sheep in Niali region alone from February to July, earlier this year.

Besides, similar incidents of sheep deaths were reported from Bhanjanagar, Jagatsinghpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada and Kendrapara districts during that period.

Moreover, the ‘killer’ had remained elusive despite massive operation launched by the forest department at Niali and other places.
