Newborn allegedly swapped, sold in Kendrapara

Kendrapara: In a case of baby swapping, a man alleged that his newborn boy was exchanged with a dead child and sold by the authorities of the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) here on Monday.

According to the father Madan Nayak, his wife had delivered a boy on July 31. However, the on-duty workers informed them that she delivered a dead child.

Later when the couple asked the authorities to hand them the body, they said the body has been given to the hospital sweeper.

Alleging that their child is alive and has been sold by the hospital staff, Madan has lodged a complaint with the town police.
