Malkangiri: The incident of sexual harassment inside a college campus in Gobindapali in Malkangiri district took a new turn today with the teacher, an eye witness who was also reportedly misbehaved by the accused on the spot, stating to have no idea about the incident.
Moreover, the concerned college principal Chaitanya Mali also termed the allegations as false and fabricated.
According to a complaint filed with the Maithili police of the district, three non-students took a girl to a room and stripped her naked and video-recorded the whole incident on their mobile phones on November 7. As per the complaint, the trio had also threatened and assaulted teacher Ajay Sutar, who came to the survivor’s rescue.
However, the relatives of the girl are now alleging that teacher Ajay Sutar is threatening them to withdraw the case. Reacting to the allegations, the teacher refuted the charges and said he does not know anything about the incident and was teaching students in a class at that time.
On the other hand, the girl has approached the district Child Welfare Committee (CWC) to make arrangements for her study in another college.
