Bhubaneswar: The newly appointed Joint Director of CBI SIT of Odisha zone, Nabin Singh today held a review meeting on the status of the chit fund scam probe in the state.
Sources said soon after his arrival at the CBI office here, Singh had a review meeting with the 16 investigating officers (IOs) probing the multi-thousand crore scam perpetrated by 44 chit fund companies in Odisha.
Apart from 16 IOs from Odisha, IOs from other states were present in the meeting, the sources added.
The sources said the meeting will discuss the status of the investigation and the progress made so far. Besides, the mode of investigation into these cases in future would also figure at the meeting, it is reliably learnt.
