Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: Krishansis Dash of Odisha has secured the 28th All India Rank in National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) 2017, the results of which were declared a few moments ago. Conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), around 35,000 from Odisha had appeared the test.

Around 11 lakh students from all over the country had appeared the test conducted on May 7 this year. The successful candidates will be enrolling in various medical and dental colleges for MBBS and BDS degrees. However, the board was in trouble following a stay order of the Madras High Court.

Earlier on May 24, the Supreme Court had stayed a Madras High Court order restraining the CBSE from declaring the NEET 2017 result for undergraduate medical courses.

The apex court later permitted the board to declare the results and go ahead with consequential steps including counselling and admissions. The CBSE on June 12 set in motion the process for declaring the result of NEET-2017 after getting the green signal.

The top 10 candidates who qualified the NEET 2017 are Navdeep Singh from Muktsar in Punjab, Archit Gupta from Indore in Madhya Pradesh, Manish Mulchandani also from Indore, Sankeerth Sadananda, Dogra Abhishek Veerendra, Deric Joseph, Kanishh Tayal, Nikita Goyal, Aryan Raj Singh and Tanish Bansal.

As per reports the 2nd topper of NEET 2017, Archit was also 2nd All India Ranker of AIIMS 2017.

In total 6,11,539 have successfully cleared the NEET 2017 while 10,90,085 appeared from the exams out of  11,38,890 registered candidates.

Out of 10,90,085 candidates who gave the exam 4,73,305 are male, 6,16,772 are female and eight are transgender.
