Cuttack: Nayagarh conjoined twins Ganga-Jamuna breathed their last at Sishu Bhawan in Cuttack, informed father of the girls today.

The twins were under strict medical supervision in the ICU of Sishu Bhawan after CT Scan and other consultations with the radiology professor who had confirmed that the twins share one heart and liver.

Sishu Bhawan superintendent, Saroj Satpathy had also informed that the heart of babies also had some congenital problems.
The twins had been born to Kishore and Sumitra Dutta of Sarankul in Nayagarh district on December 1 at a private nursing home. They were shifted to Sishu Bhawan the next day.

Earlier, Odisha government had announced all possible assistance to the family for the treatment of the twins. Health Minister Pratap Jena had also stated that the newborns would be sent outside Odisha if they require more advanced treatment.
