Kalyansinghpur/Narayanpatna: Maoists claiming to be from two different divisions put up posters at different places in Niyamgiri area of Rayagada district and erected red flags on hundred acres of land in Katulpeta and Aalamanda areas of Narayanpatna in Koraput today.

At five places in Parasali under Kalyansinghpur including the Dongria Kondh Development Agency office and the panchayat office, the ultras mentioning themselves as CPI(Maoist) Rayagada Area Committee, in the posters, alleged that cops are hiring Dongria tribal youths as ‘police informers’ and threatened them with kangaroo court trial if they do not stay away from the practice.

The naxal posters also demanded the road surrounding the Vedanta plant should be widened and asked rights activist to oppose the SPs in the districts.

Meanwhile, posters threatening landowners to return land to tribals, else face kangaroo court trial, were pasted in Katulpeta and Aalamanda areas of Koraput district.

The paper notices claimed that they were put up by members of the CPI (Maoist) Koraput-Srikakulam Division.
