Puri: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday dedicated a number of developmental projects in Kakatpur and Brahmagiri Assembly constituencies.

According to reports, Patnaik dedicated a newly constructed fire station, anganwadi centre and health centre after reaching Kakatpur block ground today at 11.30 am.

Besides, the chief minister also laid foundation stones of many developmental projects at the poll constituency, the sources added.

In Brahmagiri, Patnaik announced Rs 2.95 crore loan for 32 primary fishermen cooperative society and provided a scholarship of Rs 92,000 to meritorious students of 240 fishermen’s family.

The chief minister laid foundation stones of 37 various developmental projects during his visit to Kakatpur and Brahmagiri today.

Inaugurating various developmental projects, chief minister Naveen Patnaik said, “I am in the district today for a number of welfare schemes and developmental programmes for the local people.”

Agriculture Minister Pradeep Maharathy said “The marathon inauguration is not first time. Since Naveen Patnaik has become the chief minister, he is dedicating such projects on regular interval.”

Food Supply and Consumer Welfare Minister Sanjay Dasburma said, “The chief minister has given emphasis on various infrastructure projects. The revival of various canals have been started to provide better irrigation facilities to the farmers of Brahmagiri.”
