Bhubaneswar: Being alert after the party's performance in recent Panchayat Polls, BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is meeting newly elected representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) in person. Today he is set to meet the elected representatives of Mayurbhanj district.

Naveen is scheduled to hold discussions with all the newly elected panchayat representatives across State within April 24.

He had yesterday held a meeting with newly elected Zilla Parishad members, Sarpanchs and Samiti Members of Jajpur and Koraput district. The meeting went on for nearly two and half hours. The Block representatives had kept their views and opinions in front of the Chief Minister one by one. They gave their opinions on the votes received in the panchayat polls and how the party can be strengthened.

In the end Patnaik instructed the representatives to pay attention to the problems of general public and try to solve local issues.
