Bhubaneswar/ New Delhi: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday attended a meeting of the Inter-State Council convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.

The meeting, which is in progress, will hold discussions on issues pertaining to internal security, economic and social planning, and inter-state relations, is expected to be attended by all chief ministers.

Along with Modi, 17 Union ministers are present at the meeting, which convened after a gap of 10 years.

It is the first time for Modi to interact with all chief ministers on a single platform since he assumed charge two years ago.

Notably, the last meeting of the Inter-State Council was held on December 9, 2006.
