Bhubaneswar: Use of 3Ts - Technology, Transparency and Teamwork - should be used to bring transformation in the lives of people in Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik instructed the newly appointed Odisha Civil Services officers in an induction meet held at Rabindra Mandap here today.

A total number of 670 successful candidates joined Odisha Civil Services today, including 69 in Odisha Administrative Service (OAS), 24 in Odisha Police Service (OPS), nine in Odisha Cooperative Service (OCS), 396 in Odisha Revenue Service (ORS) and 163 in Odisha Taxation and Accounts Service (OT & AS).

The CM asked them to honour merit and transparency in providing public services and spread happiness to the citizens who come near them for work.

"Whenever you are in doubt, recall the face of the poorest and the weakest person, whom you may have seen and ask yourself if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to them. Then you will find your doubts melt away,” said the Chief Minister.

Among others, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Maheswar Mohanty, Cooperation & FSCW Minister Surya Narayan Patra, Finance & Excise Minister Sashi Bhusan Behera, Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi and Development Commissioner R Balakrishnan were present in the induction programme.
