Bhubaneswar: In the back drop of recent abusive exchange of words between BJD vice president and Minister Damodar Rout and BJP leader Lekhashree Samantsinghar, Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik today disapproved such type of politics between the parties.

Responding to a query by Editorial Director of The New Indian Express, Prabhu Chawala at the valedictory day of Odisha Literary Festival in Bhubaneswar, Patnaik said he personally stays away from making such statements against anyone by taking names.

"That sort of behavior is always unacceptable and uncalled for. I personally do not take anybody's name during my speeches”, said Patnaik.

When told that such type of language should not be expected from a minister of the ruling party, Naveen said “Yes true! I did have a word with them.”

Reacting to a question on BJP’s ‘121+ seats Mission’, Patnaik said “I am not going to quote statistics. Our development works, welfare programs will give us adequate seats. I do not want to take any number. But I am sure we will have a majority.”
